„International Development Cooperation in the 21st Century – UN Academy”

In the framework of the Official Development Assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a series of conferences, titled UN Academy, took place between November, 2004 and March, 2005 in the organization of the United Nations Association of Hungary and the HUN-IDA Non-profit Co., with the support of the UNDP.

The conference focused the attention of the civil society to a very actual issue, to the subject of Development Cooperation.

Though Hungary has carried out extensive technical assistance program in the past decades for the modernization of about fifty developing countries, upon the accession to the European Union this activity presents new challenges in several aspects.

The series of conferences consisted of 12 extremely successful lectures and met interest beyond expectations. We hope this book will raise your interest as well.
