Cooperation with Major Partners and Donors

Ever since its establishment, HUN-IDA has been making efforts for setting up high-level professional relations with international donor organisations and partners in development.

HUN-IDA participates in the work of several technical teams operating at the Directorate-General Development of the European Commission.

HUN-IDA is a member of

  • the Network of European Development Implementation Organisations,
  • the Association of European Research, Development and Educational Institutions,
  • the European Global Education Network, and
  • the Global Education Network.

HUN-IDA also performs active co-operation with various UN agencies, most of all UNDP . Upon request from the World Bank, in the framework of the Second Private Sector Development Program (PSD II), HUN-IDA organized 14 training programmes for 260 Moldavian managers in Moldavia.

HUN-IDA participated in the 5-year ODACE (Official Development Assistance in Central Europe) programme of CIDA (Canadian International Development Assistance), which had to main objectives. One was to develop capacities in the field of International Bilateral Co-operation in Development in the Member States of the European Union newly acceded in 2004, and the other was to implement co-financed projects in third-party countries.

HUN-IDA also took part in the MATRA-Flex programme provided by the Dutch Foreign Ministry and the twinning programme of the Finnish Foreign Ministry . Both programmes served the improvement of thorough grounding and readiness to implement bilateral NEFE.

HU-IDA also collaborates with private foundations like the Open Society Institute .

HUN-IDA is ready to extend its relations with non-profit as well as profit-oriented organisations in Hungary and the European Union to join forces in launching development co-operation programmes representing new value added.
